Geography Details

 
        Adimali Block is one of the major high-range regions of Idukki  District in Kerala. As part of the Western Ghats, the area is   renowned for its natural beauty, rich forest resources, agriculture, and tourism.

Situated at a considerable elevation above sea level, Adimali enjoys a moderate and pleasant climate throughout the year. The region receives abundant rainfall, making it highly suitable for agriculture and plantation crops. Cardamom, pepper, tea, coffee, ginger, and other spices are cultivated extensively here. Agriculture remains the backbone of the local economy.

A significant portion of the area is covered by forests, supporting rich biodiversity and diverse wildlife. Mountain ranges, valleys, rivers, streams, and waterfalls further enhance the scenic landscape of Adimali.

Adimali also holds an important place in the tourism sector. Known as the gateway to Munnar, the region is famous for its picturesque natural attractions and tourist destinations. Well-developed road connectivity and growing commercial opportunities have made Adimali an important development hub in the district.
